FAQ's for the mentorship program

Can anyone be a mentor?

Generally, only people who are subscribed to our membership plan can be mentors or mentees. But we also have ambassadors and other top-level executives join as mentors.

How many hours do I have to commit to?

It's entirely up to you! You set the pace based on what you’re comfortable with. Whether you can only commit an hour a week or a month, that’s perfectly fine. Each pairing cycle happens monthly, with a suggested 45-minute call per session. You can also connect your calendar to Matcha, which shows your availability for easy scheduling. If you’d like to extend the relationship beyond the sessions, you can pause the pairing process and keep connecting as your schedule allows.

Will I have to work weekends?

Not at all. You can if you want, but you choose which days you want to mentor, and they can certainly be Monday to Friday only.

Can I mentor more than one person at a time?

If you’ve got the bandwidth for it, sure!

You can probably sense a theme here...but you own 100% of the ‘when’, ‘how long’ and ‘how many’ elements of the program and you can scale up or down as much as you want.

There is no limit on our end, if you're at capacity, hit pause on the platform to exclude yourself from the pairing process and continue with your existing matches.

What if I don't get on with my mentee?

We’re pretty confident that won’t happen. For starters, we're a very friendly bunch! As well as that, we use the info mentors and mentees give us in their application form to connect people on various compatibility measures, so it should be a match first time, every time.

How will the communication side of things work?

Most of the communication can take place in the chat room when you become a pair on the platform. The first meeting can be carried out on the platform, and then you're welcome to meet again however you prefer going forward.

Can I be a mentor and mentee?

Absolutely! Being an expert in one area doesn't mean you can't improve in another. However, if you select both mentor and mentee tags, you'll be matched as a mentor. So, we recommend choosing either mentor or mentee for each matching cycle.
